I'm looking for a hair salon that works with a group called locks of love.I'm in Temple near the Post Office.

I wish to help the people that have lost their hair do to unfortunet circumstances.I don't know exactly what the process is for this endeaver so any help will be greatly appreaciated.I'm looking for a hair salon that works with a group called locks of love.I'm in Temple near the Post Office.
check this site out http://www.locksoflove.org/donate_hair.p鈥?/a>

it has all the information you need.

I donated 18';, and it feels good to help others, a couple months after the donation, I got a thank you card. It was not necessary, but it is good to know that it helped someone.I'm looking for a hair salon that works with a group called locks of love.I'm in Temple near the Post Office.
You don't necessarily need the salon to participate. Locks of Love has a website with all the info and a form you fill out. Our salon participates by taking care of sending the hair to them for you. We wait until we have a bunch and send them all at once, but not all salons do that. Just call around and ask if they've done it before. Sometimes they will offer your cut for free. If they are just willing to help in cutting you ponytail off and you have to be responsible to send it is fine just make sure they know the specifications.
As others have answered, I agree. Good for you to think of others and not just yourself when losing your hair. However there are some things to keep in mind when donating hair. It will best benefit if it is ';virgin'; hair...meaning NO chemicals (colours/perms). Secondly, it must be a minimum certain length. Either way, I'm sure it will help someone feel good again! See other sites that you can donate hair to. Thanks for caring!
well, not much else to say

but you don't have to go to a particular salon to donate to locks of love. all you have to do is get the info and address from http://www.locksoflove.org and send it yourself.
First of all, good for you! Locks of Love is a great organization...my sister cut off 13 inches of hair and sent it in!

Well if you can't find a salon you can send the hair in yourself to Locks of Love. Just put your hair in a tight ponytail (high or low, depends on how short you want your hair) and have the hairstylist cut right above the ponytail. This keeps the hair together and you can send it via mail.

Go to http://www.locksoflove.org for the address and more info!

Best of luck!!!

I opened my hair salon 5 years ago.Iam looking at taking it that next step further and making it a bit more ?
I am not sure what the ';asthetics'; of your salon are but consider a new interior look. It can be as simple as a coat of paint and some new lighting or lighting angles. Try to be a minimalist, not a ton of stuff going on all over the place...less is more. A good example would be to scope out the salons in the area that you feel are a step above yours in look and clientel. See what they are doing, look at their pricing and keep in competition. Your prices may be too low. If people like your services they will pay more $$$ so keep in friendly competition and step up your game. Also, host an open house, a grand re-opening of sorts. Word of mouth is the best advertising tool (and cheapest) available to you. Get your game plan going, throw a bash and make it happen. You have taken the first step! Good luck!

Hey thanks! It wasn't me who inquired, but I used to use Salon Selectives....the Max Hold Style Freeze. Does the spray on tan stuff at the tanning salons look like a real tan...or does it make you look orangeish?

I dont want to look like a tangarine walking around! Will they let you test a piece of your skin before you decide to do the whole body?Does the spray on tan stuff at the tanning salons look like a real tan...or does it make you look orangeish?
I can't speak for all salons, but I had the Mystic tan at Planet Beach, and it looked really fake. They couldn't test it on a little bit of skin because the Mystic is done by a spraying booth, not an actual person.

I think that it will look more natural if an actual (trained) person is applying it for you, but that will probably be a lot more expensive.Does the spray on tan stuff at the tanning salons look like a real tan...or does it make you look orangeish?
i have tried many different kinds, and some are better than others, but they all have the slightest bit of an orange tint in them, and they feel gross, kind of sticky, and i can't stand the way they smell.
spray tans suck. try lotions w/ self tanners in them. try Dove Energy Glow Lotion.
most of them make you look orangish the darker you go

I'm looking for a good, reputable nail salon in Denver CO.?

I've been to a couple different nail salons and asked for gel nails and been talked into acrylic and then lacquer nails. I'm not loving them, still want to try the gel. Does any one know of a good nail salon in or around Denver that will do the gel nails well and without a fuss?I'm looking for a good, reputable nail salon in Denver CO.?
I can give you links to a couple of salon locators. The first one is sponsored by Creative Nail Design - a professional nail product company which, among other nail products for the consumer, makes top notch acrylic and gel products for the nail industry. They have been in business since the late 1970's and are a major player in the nail business to this day. The good thing about this particular salon locator is that all of the salons/techs that are listed are company trained and certified in the use of their products prior to their being listed here. It's easy to use, and I'm sure you can find a good tech who will do a great job on your nails. And yes, they have their own high quality gel line called Brisa gels which is available in many different colors so you won't get stuck with only two colors - pink %26amp; white! But, they have those too! Anyway:

    http://www.cnd.com/Locate/Find-A-Salon.a鈥?/a>

This second link is located on a reputable site that has a wealth of information of articles and information on the nail industry, and nails in general. They offer tips such as what to look for in a salon, how to tell if MMA is being used in a salon, and offer lots of other useful information. The locator is on the right hand side of the page. The techs on this locator are for the most part wll trained and experienced nail professionals. I'm sure you could find a very good salon/tech in the Denver area through this link:

    http://www.beautytech.info/

Either way, it would be advisable to call any salons you are interested in going to and talk to them about any concerns you may have, and to find out info such as costs, what types of nail services they provide (gels, acrylic, and so on), and anything else you want to know. You will most likely have to make an appointment because very few top notch salons accept walk-ins. By the way, I have absolutely nothing to gain from posting these links, will not profit from it, and I'm not affiliated with either of them. I'm posting them strictly for informational purposes. I just wanted to let you know that.

I hope this helps, and good luck!I'm looking for a good, reputable nail salon in Denver CO.?

Its kind of expensive, but Sheer Ego is quite a nice place. Its all the way down Monroe Ave, heading into Pittsford, in the plaza next to the HUGE Wegmans. I get massages there every once in a while and a few of the girls I work with get their hair done there and it always looks pretty hot.

My skin complexion is 'tan', would a Tanning Salon look at me wierd if...?

I'm about Beyonce and Rihanna's skin complexion, maybe even lighter, its hard to tell. Anyway, I wear alot of jeans and such, that my skin color is different all over my body. I must have like 4 different shades! (im not kidding!)

Anyway, Im going to be attending many events and parties and I was thinking about how celebs get a spray tan for that nice EVEN 'glow'.

I will feel kinda wierd walking in there tho...and im afraid to do it myself. Any suggestions? Good idea, yes or no?My skin complexion is 'tan', would a Tanning Salon look at me wierd if...?
it is really up to you but i am in the same boat as you it is kinda like a farmers tan if you get what i am saying and when itanned i had some parts that were getting darker then others so i would cover up more often when i went in the sun and i went back to tanning and everything came out even ... You can get as dark as you want i went to school with a chic that was white and pale she came back a few months later of tanning and was very dark but if u r to tan dont use a spray tan... and also start off at 5 mintues one week and from their work your way up..Good LuckMy skin complexion is 'tan', would a Tanning Salon look at me wierd if...?
thats what everyone here where i live calls it lol but yeah i am thnking about going back to tanning so i can tan for the cold three months then i will be dark when summer gets around lol glad to hear you took my advice it is jus that if you tan starting off at like 15-20 u will only keep burning

you have to go in for a consultation. the salon you want to go to may not have to right color for you thus, it may end up looing disasterous and considering you have a bunch of different shades of skin, you need them to cater to that. also, because your going to parties, the only thing that you need to consider when getting a tan if you have to, is what kind of clothes your going to wear and what areas it shows.
I honestly couldn't tell you in good conscience if it would look good or not over the internet since I don't really know exactly what you look like. I don't want to tell you to go for it and then have it look bad.

    BUT....

I will say that if you think it will look good then definitely do it! Who cares what the salon people think? You're paying them! Plus, even if they did, which they probably wouldn't, would you still be upset by that a week later? Or even an hour later? Probably not. But you probably would still be thinking about wanting the spray tan later on if you didn't.
i dont think you should because since your skin tone is uneven the tan will make some parts lighter/darker than others

Which is the best spray tan to get at a salon, which doesn't look too false?

    HI,

Fake bake is the best in my opionion, its not orange and you can have as light or as dark as you want own skin permitting. I mean the skin permitting as dark as you want as your own skin will only absorb so much.

xWhich is the best spray tan to get at a salon, which doesn't look too false?
try Fake Bake products, I used it all the time and loved it! it didn't show up orange at all and my peers just thought I was tanning! I always used the Fake Bake self tanning lotion, not the mousse or gels. good luck!!!

http://www.fakebake.net/Which is the best spray tan to get at a salon, which doesn't look too false?
I agree with thelady above me.Fake Bake.
    they all look fake.
    Ronseal.
    yep, fake bake
I love Solglo- it is a lot more subtle- and lasts a long time too
Make sure you don't have any products on such as mousturisers, perfumes, deodorents etc, it is these that are more likely to turn you orange as the DHA in the spray Tan can react with the ingredients in these products.

The colour you are when you leave the salon is not the colour you finaly become as it will wash off.

Disregard all the answers that say all fake tans are orange, fake tans are just about across the board very good these days, they are a million miles away from what they were 10 years ago.

You are better finding a good spray tan technician who really knows what they are doing %26amp; can give you advice, than using someone else just because they use a solution that has a massive marketing budget.
i personally like fake bake. i'm only 14 and have it done all the time. the spray stuff you get in salons is brilliant but so is the bottle that you can buy yourself. it comes out really dark but if you leave it on overnight or for at least 8 hours then wash it off it gives a really natural streak-free look.x

    hope this helps! shannen x

How can I recreate this salon look at home?

Yesterday Morning I went and got my hair cut, and this is what it looked like when I left the salon (this is 4 hours later before work, but this was the better picture that I had. ) http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y239/GenuineEm323/0711081721.jpg

She used a medium round brush, and no product really, just leave in conditioner and a small bit of hair spray on my bangs to keep them in place. I have both these products at home, and the brush and I attempted this this morning after my shower and I couldn't get the same 'rounded' look. I got a 'curl under' but it wasn't just a 'round' look it looked like I just curled the last 2 inches of my hair and was more like a 'hump' than a cruve? I'm not very coordinated with a hair dryer.. and this is my first do that i'm really going to try to keep looking nice. So can someone please help me! :(How can I recreate this salon look at home?
Sorry its never gonna look salon good at home. That is what we ladies aim for and it usually never works. Sorry. How can I recreate this salon look at home?
you do not need much to create that look, and it's not difficult. Practice, though, obviously, and you'll get better. With your round brush, while blow drying, lift directly UP, while curling under, and begin by pointing the dryer directly at the roots and slowly making your way down to the ends, continuing to curl under. This is a little hard to explain, but once you start you will see what I mean. You obtain volume in the roots (and whole hair) by drying the roots first and lifting up. By continuing to curl under with the brush, you simply style your hair while drying it, and cut out a whole lot of unnecessary steps.
    pretty hair =)

since its short it will be easy to manage.

first you'll need to purchase a hair product for straightening.

this can either be a gel or a spray. I use a product called STRAIGHT SEXY HAIR and it is available at almost any drugstore (if it isn't, Tressme or Herbal Essences has straightening sprays so just pick one of those.)

    1) when you get out of the shower blot your hair dry of any extra water with a towel, dont scrunch it.

    2) get two clips and seperate your bottom layer from your upper layer.

    3) sorry hun, but that look requires blow drying. (blow dry the bottom first.) get a round brush (a big one) and place it under the inner side of your hair. blow dry while moving the brush throughout the bottom layer and make sure to curl at the tips.

    4) do the same thing to the upper layer.

    5) straighten any flaws with a straighten.

    6) apply extra hold hair spray and you are good to go

    good luck =)

    sorry no
Buy regular small hooks and hang big cups or small buckets with holes poked in them by a ribbon. Not only will they work just as well as expensive units but they will look better too. And you can label them ';New'; and ';Used'; so you know exactly where they go.
i would go to Target.com or go to a department store like Pier 1 or another one of those will have so much stuff like that!
Try a spice rack. They come in all shapes and sizes.

College campuses. Also, if you have any younger family members then their friends might be interested. Also, a lot of teens work in fast food joints, so you could let them know during casual conversation.

Leaving the salon looking worse than when I came in?

I have naturally curly hair. I have a very hard time finding someone to not totally screw up the cut. But even someone who does a good job I always (really everytime) I walk out of the salon looking like a complete idiot. They all use a diffuser and a tiny bit of a product and the result is the look of a cartoon caracter who just stuck their finger in an electrical socket. Then they have the nerve to hand me a mirror, to look even closer- as if I couldn't see how awful I look from the large mirror I am sitting in front of. Why do they do this to me? Has any other curly haired person found a solution to this problem?Leaving the salon looking worse than when I came in?
i always have that problem. i asked one of my friends, who is a hairstylist, which would be easier for a person, with thick curly/wavy hair as myself, to get their hair cut. she said that she either sprays it down or cuts it dry, but it is difficult for her.

i've learned to just straighten my hair the night before and get it cut/trimmed the next day. Usually that works for me, but lately when i want to get this one style i always walk out like i just got a mullet. after three years of getting my hair butchered and wearing a hat for a month, i have learned to go to a real salon (that isnt $12) or to a stylist, that ive gone to before, and bring in lots of pictures. explaining how i want it cut, especially for the length and layering.Leaving the salon looking worse than when I came in?
    well i have curly hair..

And you could just tell them to style it at the end.. meaning wet it... add some frizz controler.

at hair cuttery they do it without even asking if you want it done.

but i personally tell them to flat iron it at the end when they cut it.

    i hope i helped.

if i didnt, sorry for takin up comment space.

If i ask a hair salon what would look good on me?

    what would they say?

If you are a hair stylist has someone asked that before?

would they cut your hair well?If i ask a hair salon what would look good on me?
I usually let the hairstylist do what they want after giving them a brief description of what I'd like.

If you ask a hair stylist what would look good on you, you're running the chance of having a hair mistake. You have to have a basic idea of what you're going for. You like to play with your hair, or just wash it and go? You like to be able to put it up or leave it down, make it messy, curly, straight? Any of those things you need to let them know you do to your hair. After informing them, you can tell them ';Can you think of a hair cut or style that would be nice on me?'; Maybe if you have a round face or a oval face, you can point that out - if you want to enhance it or make it go away.

I have gone before and had the stylist do what ever she wanted. I said one condition, not too short. so I came out with some weird stylish pixie cut.If i ask a hair salon what would look good on me?
Well. One thing you do need to do is let them know how much time your willing to spend on your hair. Product and such. Because a cut has everything to do with if you style it. More details can be made if you're going to style it a certain way. They should tell you if it would look good. A side part is always more flattering than a center part for one. But anyways. Yes, they should help you but it would be smart for a little input.

I just need someone who can look and me and figure out a new style. ThanksLooking for a hair salon in Houston, TX?
I'm not in Houston, but I've found the best way to find a stylist when you're new in town is when you see someone with similar hair as yours, and it looks awesome, ask who does it. Even if it's a complete stranger, most people take it as a huge compliment and will tell you. Some will even tell you to let the stylist know who sent you cuz many salons offer referral rewards.

    Don't know how to ask? Just say ';I love your hair, mind if I ask who does it?';

On the less expensive scale.. Tresemme shampoo and conditioner is amazing and makes me very happy! :) You notice the difference straight away. Use Patene Pro-V Mousse for extra volume to your hair. How can i have my hair looking good without going to a salon?
Well you should try and study about hair 1st the styles textures and stuff and see what youy can do with out actually going to a salon or if you have any friends that are knowledgable in hair than you might wanna turn to them for help

I'm pale, how do you I get a tanned look without going to a tanning salon?

Im pale also. I found Dove's Energy Glow Self Tanner works wonders. Here is the link http://www.dove.us/your_skin/energy_glow鈥?/a>I'm pale, how do you I get a tanned look without going to a tanning salon?
try a tanning lotion from the drugstore. They have come a long way since they 1st came out on the market. Just ask which is the best when you get there.I'm pale, how do you I get a tanned look without going to a tanning salon?
    To the BEACH!
I would recommend what i think would be the best in this day and age. Its called Airbrush tanning.

You can look at other sites just type air brush tanning. It much better than tanning baeds and using those lotions which can run if u get wet like be in rain, or mess up your white clothes etc. Airbrush is the way to go. MAke sure you find a good place that does it or you can order the stuff and do it yourself.

    http://airbrushbodyart.com.au/airbrush_t鈥?/a>

    Good Luck
Use a tanning cream. There are very good ones on the market
For temporary tans use: GlowFusion Micro-Nutrient Face %26amp; Body Natural Protein Tan. sephora.com. Sun-kissed perfect tan!!!
If you want to use a self tanner, i'd use Victorias Secret or Clarins brand. Clairns can be bought at the department store and has been rated the best self tanner.
There are many products available these days...self tanners and some lotions that gradually add color to your skin. Check your local Target in the lotion isle.
You can now buy body lotion that has a tanning agent in them. You might try that.
try olay touch of sun facial moisturizer and body lotion. it softens skin while gradually building a tan and also has an SPF 15 because the sun is damaging to skin. there are also tan wipes and spray tanning booths.
Victoria's Secret makes a really good fake tanner. The Bare Bronze Collection. You could go with the Daily Glow Moisteriser, which you put on like lotion everyday and gradually get a tan. Or I tried the Sheer Self Tan Mousse with a sea salt scrub before applying. Worked very well. No orange! Good luck!
use some of the instant tanning lotion it works
Use a self tanner. You can buy them in drugstores.
Ever heard of a suntan. Let the sun toast you up. It's free and coats very evenly. Limit the first few tanning sessions to 5 minutes so you don't burn.
Spray on tan or buy the one from Neutrogena in the pharmacy.
    go outside
use that fake tanning lotion. it might make you turn orange but you wont be white
If you want a tan look on your face use a bronzer.
There is a self tanner called St. Tropez, it is the most natural looking self tanner you can use.
Please stand in the sun for 12 hours
    get the spray on stuff
You can use bronzing powder on your face - it will give you a nice 'glow'.
I like Loreal sunless tanner lotion. Im very pale too,be careful not to put too much but itll look unatural but if you apply a thin coat itll look very natural and it dosent streak.
you can go to a salon and sunless tan-spray tan-or use any number of at home tan lotions-there are also a whole new group of products which are moisturizers that slowly darken the skin-sort of like low dose tan lotion...
SO many self tanners and bronzers now from lotions to makeup......your choice

    i agree.

im sure if you had a picture it would turn out a lot better.

That sort of job tends to be advertised locally. I would wait till I got out there and start looking in the local press, etc. Don't forget that you need a work permit first.
Maybe your best option is to do a search on local salons in that area, once you have gathered the names and numbers of these businesses, give a ring around and ask if there are any vacanies.
Apply at the majoe Department Stores, they have great salons in Southern Cal

please help! it would be great if you had their website, or a phone number! thank you!Im looking for salons that do japanese straightening in NYC?
alot of hair salons will do this! i do not live in nyc but where i live every salon offers this. its good your willing to pay alot cuz you will have to pay more to go to a good salon that knows what their doing. go to a well known salon or you could ask the salon that you get your hair cut at if they offer chemical relaxing. thats teh technical term and i was unaware that chemical relaxing is the same thing as a japanese perm so if you call a salon use the technical term or it may cause confusion. look in the yellow pages under salon or spa and find one that looks nice and call and ask. im sorry i dont know of a specific salon! but good luck any way!:)

It is absolutely impossible for anyone to guess what you need. I would say go back to the salon and ask how she specifically styled it.Have long hair and short layers (some above ear) and it looked great comming out of the salon but not anymore.?
just wear it up as much as you can without it lookin tacky and try and hide for a few months so it can grow a lil bit. or you can always try pullin it halfway up with a poof!
It's probably not gonna look as good as what they did at your salon if this is the first time that you've played with your new hair. But you just have to play with it a lot and try different things until it comes out the way you want it since it's new.

What are some things to look for when buying an existing tanning salon?

I would look at their financials. Are they making a profit? Have sales declined recently (if so, customers may be upset and you may have to deal with negative feelings or new competition may have entered the market). How many long-term clients are there? How many are undercontract - thus captive clients? Also see if it has been fined or cited, thats important reputation wise as well as regulation wise. Check out the condition of the equipment. Also, look at the lease - is it about to expire and go up? Those are few things I woudl look at first. Also, maybe yuo wil want to enlist the help of a business appraiser/broker in your area, they can help you ask the right quetions and appropriately assess the value. Good luck!

First of all: where the hell is 'melbourne'? Second, look in the yellowpages. There are so many vogue type hair salons in NYC, you'd be amazed by looking at the YELLOW PAGES.

I'm not sure which country you're from but I'm pretty sure that a vogue hair salon will be very pricey.

How do I make my nails look nice even if I don't have all those fancy products, or I can't go to a nail salon?

Grow them long, guys love it.How do I make my nails look nice even if I don't have all those fancy products, or I can't go to a nail salon?
I take good care of my nails. you should soak them and keep them shaped nice with a file. trim them and keep the cuticle pushed back. a cuticle oil or olive oil even should be rubbed onto the cuticle which is what causes u to get hang nails or rough skin around the nail. theneither a clear coat or a color polish . you can buy the ones now that have conditioner in themHow do I make my nails look nice even if I don't have all those fancy products, or I can't go to a nail salon?
Buff them, file them, and give them a manicure with a base coat, two coats of paint, and a top coat. Try a french manicure kit.
hey all you need to do is keep them clean and well manicured then no one will notice them and if they do it will be ion a positive way .
let it grow then used white nail Polish to do french manicure.
Totally sista you shuld just file them round and long and paint them wit the color of ur outfit!
You can give yourself a manicure once a week......just use:

    small bowl with soapy water

    small brush

    finger nail file

    nail buffer

    and polish

    There you go......
just go in your man pocket when he goes to sleep and get like 40 dollars and go get your nails done keep yourself high maintained
ok it's simple... let your nails grow long.. then paint the tips of your nails (that are white) white... then let it dry.. after that paint some shiny nail polish on it... that's what i do to make it look nice and stylish...
don't bite them, im a nail biter and i don't like it. i want my nails to b long again
avoid picking at them, biting them, and getting dirt stuck up in them.

Is there any way I can make my hair look a few shades lighter without dying it at a salon?

    My hair is this color:

    http://www.fotosearch.com/comp/corbis/DG鈥?/a>

I have a few natural highlights, but I want my hair to look brighter, I want it to be golden brown instead of chocolate colored brown! lol! Is there any way of doing this besides going to a salon to get it dyed or getting that thing where you dye it yourself? Bottom line, I don't want to use dye or anything like that.Is there any way I can make my hair look a few shades lighter without dying it at a salon?
The best I've ever heard on that front is to use lemon juice. I tried it for a week at the beach using one lemon a day and sitting out for about three or four hours in the middle of the day. I got results, but very minimal ones. A friend of mine used a peroxid soaked cotton ball every night before bed to put in highlights, but she had dirty blonde air that lighted to beach blonde over several weeks. This is still an easier feat then lightening burnette hair. Another option that brought out my natual highlights was using brilliant brunette shampoo. Hope that helps! Is there any way I can make my hair look a few shades lighter without dying it at a salon?
I was told to spray lemon juice in my hair before I go in the sun I used to do it when I was young but I cant remember a big difference just more of my natural highlights came out
Well, there are alot of home-salon product which don't require you going to a professional beauty salon. You can always buy Lo'REAL products which can be bought at Wal-Mart. Also, it's easy to apply and easy to buy. Not only is it cheap, it works beautifully. I would know, not that I use it, but my mom does.
Spend some extra time in the sun. Or for UV free results, try some lemon juice or peroxide and 5 to 10 minutes with a blow dryer. Also, products like Sun-In will give you a natural high lighting effect with the help of blowdryer or natural sunshine.
What ever you do PLEASE PLEASE dont dye it. I was just like you. I wanted GOLDEN nice brown hair. But I dyed it and now its ugly redish brown. Its horrible. Please dont dye it. What you can do is go to a drug store they have these Loreal hair dying mouse it comes out in about 7 shampoos. Its in an orange bag. Try getting the one that is to make blonde more blonde. What it will do to you hair is make it a big golden or a lot Im not sure but because the base color is yellow it will add that and make it more golden. Good luck and dont dye it!

    I forgot some things.

DO NOT USE SUN IT, LEMON, PEROXCIDE or what ever everyone else is say, I have been there done that all it does is make your hair orange.

Because when you dye your hair it fades to a yucky orange you see on some peoplee.
Lemon juice when in the sun will give most people highlights, but I don't know for sure if it will work on really dark hair.
Over the summer my hair gets lighter a lot because of exposure to the sun. Maybe that would work for you.
i'd leave it, i wish i had your haircolor. i decided just this morning i was going to dye my blonde hair just a bit darker, well, it turned out charcoal gray for some reason. whenever i do it myself its always a hit or miss whether its going to come out ok. so $285 later, my hair is fixed, and fried. and don't ever put pure bleach on your hair (one of your comments said that), it will totally ruin your hair.
    use sun in.
what i've heard is spray either lemon/lime or beer in your hair and then lay out in the sun

ive seen people and its worked for them
put lemmon juice in it and then go out in the sun. seriously it works, just takes a little time, but in the meantime you smell good, and you'll get a great tan. be careful about sweating and getting it in your eyes tho
put bleach in a sprayer....spray on hair and let it set for about 30 minutes...you got it ...natural looking highlights
orange / lemon / lime etc juice, leave it on then wash it off i guess maybe in a few hours perhaps?
stand out in the sun fry dat ****
I've spritzed my hair with regular peroxide after towel drying. It works well for me.
Try going in the sun alot. THat will naturally bleach it.
You'll have to use dye, but it'll take less than an hour, and less that $10. Nice and Easy has new dye in all shades that has highlights!! I tried it and I love it. I have 3 different shades, but very subtle. I've been wanting to recommend it to someone. Do it, and I guarantee you'll have fun.

  • Have you ever had a bad haircut? Did you leave the salon looking just like the stylist?

If so, what did you do about it?Have you ever had a bad haircut? Did you leave the salon looking just like the stylist?
yeah, once i had a horrible haircut, but there wasn't actually something i could complain about because there wasn't something obviously wrong with the cut, it just didn't look right. So after a while when i really couldn't live looking like I had just walked out the tumble dryer i got it restyled.

HI, I am looking for a Salon that participates in Locks of Love.?

I heard that there are salons that will cut your hair for free and donate it to the organization , my location is in chicago,il

please and thank youHI, I am looking for a Salon that participates in Locks of Love.?
Locks of Love doesn't maintain a list of salons, but participating salons will have a Locks of Love decal in their window. Any salon can do the cutting, though, as long as they following the guidelines (at least 10'; in length, hair cannot be previously colored or permed).

Check with your local salon - they'll probably be willing to give you the cut for free, regardless of whether they're a registered supporter or not.HI, I am looking for a Salon that participates in Locks of Love.?
Any hair dresser will donate it for you if you ask them to. If they say that they won't send the hair off to Locks of Love you can always take it yourself and send it to locks of love yourself.

How do you create a salon perfect look? ?

i recently had my haircut, and it looked really good

but now when i have washed it,

it wont go back as straight as it was.

and it doesn't feel as soft as it was?

how can i create that salon perfect look everyday?

thanks xxHow do you create a salon perfect look? ?
It wont ever be exactly the same when you do it yourself; that is why most professional hairdressers cost so much, you are paying for their skill. Its very hard to do yourself.

All I can suggest is invest in a good pair of straighteners, such as GHD or CHI, and blowdry your hair with either a paddle brush or a round brush. I personally find paddle brushes easier, as they hold the hair flat, and all you have to go is guide the dryer down, making sure the nozzle is pointed downward.

Then straighten and finish with de-frizz serum or something of the like.

Goodluck! How do you create a salon perfect look? ?
When you have washed and conditoned your hair do you blow dry it straight away? clip the top half up and blow dry whilst using a rounded brush from root to tip if you do this it will dry straight and look shiny.

it looks the same as the salons, its this plastic case,u put the wax in and it hits it up,then you put it on your skin and wax.havent tried it yetHas anyone tried those waxing kits they sell at beauty stores, that look like the ones at the salon?
You mean a waxing pot? Yes. They are very similar to in-salon waxing. You just have to know what you're doing, though. If its pre-waxed strips or roll on...it's crap.

Help I bleached my hair and now I look like a banana! I dont have enough money to go to a salon, what can I do

I kind of want to try a brown color but out of the 11 years i have been dying my hair i have never done brown. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do i need to skip brown and do a blonde like i have been doing for years? Will this banana color bleach affect color? ANd is it safe to dye on top of it? I did it 2 days ago.Help I bleached my hair and now I look like a banana! I dont have enough money to go to a salon, what can I do
this is kinda tricky cuz i dont know what color your hair was before... all hair colors have different undertones... for example my hair is dark brown so when i tryn dye it blonde it turns red(because brown hair has alot of red undertones)... i would suggest getting a highlighting kit from walmart and instead of putn highlights in use it on your entire head... this will take it all the way to blonde... then wait about a week(so u dont damage your hair too bad) and dye it the brown color u want... dont go more then 3 shades darker or lighter then then the color u have(after uv highligthed it)... also i wouldnt suggest dying it brown from the color u have it now, because mostlikely u'll get a funky lookin color!! oh yea and after youv died it brown stay out of the sun for long amounts of time for atleast a week( also avoid swimming, showers are fine) because the sun will bleach your hair back to the color before u dyed it, and most the time it looks really dull and wasahed out!!! neways good luck... hope i helped u some!!!!Help I bleached my hair and now I look like a banana! I dont have enough money to go to a salon, what can I do
    add new hair temporary
    hey mr banana hair,

justy live and sleep w/ it for few weeks. your hair needs some rest from dyes. going to salon definitely is EXPENsive. redying it might affect your hair to an extent that you dont to happen

anyway pipol will not mind your hair color after a day or two.
I think your supposed to bleach your hair if you have dark hair and you want to dye it lighter so the color shows more. Just dye it the color you want. Im guessing but im not sure.
I would recommend waiting a few more days if you can because bleach dries out your hair so much (it basically fry's it). Then you can do whatever you want, but if you want a darker colour you should leave it on a little longer because since you bleached it the original colour of die may turn out a lot lighter. Good luck!
    hats
I guess u could like make a joke of what u did or wear a whig for a while.
Reverse streak it with two different shades of brown........that will help and when it grows out, it will look more natural.

Calm down....it will be alright. I've don't that to myself and know exactly how horrifying it can feel........
    Wear yellow clothes.
many salons bleach the hair before they dye as it helps to last the color longer.... i somehow dont like bleach on hair as it spoils the hair... but you can dye it with brown with no negative thoughts.. i am pretty sure it works.. 'coz most of my frends get their hair bleached before they get it dyed....
