How to paint your nails to look salon painted?

I don't have any of the fancy air brush nail polishes, i just have the Standard bottled nail polishes. But i want either a really good colour on my nails or i would prefer a nice design. I forgot to mention.. i want to do it myself... Can anyone give me useful tips or maybe some sites which will be really helpful? How to paint your nails to look salon painted?
Your best bet is to go for a really good polish (I use Chanel) Always use a clear base coat and a clear top coat. Sally Hanson does one that use can use for base and top. Don't be tempted to put too much polish on your nails - the salons seem to put a very thin coat on and then put a on a second coat of polish. Wait between putting on each coat until it's dryish. If you don't like what you see then take it off and have another go. Use a q-tip soaked in polish remover to remove any smudges. Good luck - it takes a bit of practise but much cheaper than paying for a manicure. How to paint your nails to look salon painted?
Ok prepartion is important.

Firstly wash you feet, its important to make sure there clean.Take a nail brush and scrub under nails to get rid of dirt,if you dont have a nail brush take a old tooth brush , poor warm water under it and amke sure its clean and use that.

Rub cuticle cream on your nails,if you dont hav any vaseline will be fine.

Wipe it off and choose your nail colour.

Now you can use under coat if you have any,it can be expensive so if you dont just paint straight on.Brush from left to right and try not to make more then 4 strokes on each nail.

When you nails are semi dry, paint another layer on top in the exact same way.Let them dry fully and apply top coat. This is not vital so if you dont have it dont worry it just locks in the colour.

Hope ive helped.

:P
First, wipe any excess polish from the brush onto the inner rim of the bottle. Now paint a stripe down the center of your nail, followed by one on either side. Finish with a thin strip across the very tip.

First, use nail varnish remover all over your nails to remove any old nail varnish/dirt. Then use a base nail varnish (i.e. a clear colour) to avoid staining. Then apply two coats of nail polish, and then finally another coat of clear varnish. Wait until each coat has dried a reasonable amount before proceeding.
Well I use the bottled polish too. I would suggest a final top clear coat afterwards, it makes the nail shiny and keeps the polish a little bit longer, however my daughter uses small paint brushes to make designs on her nails.
Just like baby pink, then white tips, cover with a clear layer to make it look shiny =]
Very carefully
just get the fakenails
i dont know

i cant even paint my nails a simple color without messing it up

haha
