I'm looking for a salon in Orange County that does donations for Locks of Love. Any suggestions?

I live in Orange, CA, and have 12 inches to donate to Locks of Love. I have done it in the past, but that was when I lived in Las Vegas. So I'm looking for a place nearby that does donations, and preferably gives a free haircut for donating. I never get my hair 'done,' so it's hard to justify it to myself to spend more than 20 dollars on a hair cut. Does anyone have any suggestions?I'm looking for a salon in Orange County that does donations for Locks of Love. Any suggestions?
You can do Locks of Love anywhere!

Just put the hair in a ponytail when you cut it, and maybe braid it to keep it all together. The Locks of Love website will tell you how to mail it in.

Keep in mind the minimum in inches (you'll have to check the site but I think it's 10''). You have to cut at least that much into the ponytail for them to accept it. After you cut that hair off, your final haircut will be shorter since then the stylist has to... well, style it!

There's also a list of things they won't accept (ie very damaged hair) so be sure to check that online too before you commit to such a drastic haircut... It's a wonderful thing to do but it would be a shame to cut all that hair off only for them to not be able to use the hair at all!

Anyway good luck!I'm looking for a salon in Orange County that does donations for Locks of Love. Any suggestions?
You can send the hair yourself. Just choose a salon and have them band it for you to send. Go to the Locks of Love website for rules and address. I am a hairstylist and I prefer my clients to send their own. That way it can be more of a personal experience. Sometimes clients have their children write a short kind note. Please do not forget to send hair to other cancer causes, such as the cancer society. The loss of hair makes cancer more emotionally devistating and a wig sometimes helps. Most cancer patients cannot afford a decent wig and organizations donate them.

But think of your stylist... Seriously after collecting a years worth of hair, you cannot imagine the cost of a 200lb box of hair. My tips do not cover shipping. But I try to send the most I can. Please help, your hair could be something positive for someone who is suffering. small kindness
umm you can cut it yourself and send it in the mail. and get a hair cut at great clips or somewhere really cheap. if you want.
